What's Involved?
Pregnancy Massage
Massage is extremely valuable to pregnant women.
During the course of the pregnancy the mother-to-be's body goes through many changes in order to accommodate the growing baby.
Such changes can unfortunately lead to discomfort, for example lower back ache and neck and shoulder pain.
Massage would be performed to encourage the body to relax, to improve circulation, improve the breathing pattern and, by relaxing and stretching the muscles, aim to improve posture.
Many of the techniques can still be used but need to be adapted to the changes taking place; it is still possible to perform a full body massage whilst the client is in a side-lying position.
