About Me
My name is Dave Clarke and I am an Advanced Clinical & Sports MassageTherapist having completed a (degree-level) Diploma in Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage at Jing Institute of Advanced Massage & Training.
I have trained at Jing over the last few years, successfully completing their Certificate in Advanced Clinical Massage and Certificate in Advanced Myofascial Release, having previously qualified in ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council) in Holistic Massage. I have recently undertaken training in sports taping which helps with support during rehabilitation.
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and listed in the FHT's Complementary Healthcare Therapist Register, an Accredited Voluntary Register which was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, a body accountable to Parliament..
In the past, I have played a variety of different sports and previously had a career that was desk-based with significant periods using a computer. As a result I am well acquainted with the aches, pains and niggles that all those activities can produce.
I have received massage for a number of years and fully appreciate the benefits that can be derived
from it.
I believe this experience makes me well-placed to now offer a dedicated, effective and client-
focused service.
I am based in East Berkshire with a practice in Marlow.
Why Libra?
The adoption of the name “Libra” was inspired by the astrological symbol and its association with balance.
As noted elsewhere in this website, the body is subjected to many outside influences that act to disrupt its natural balance; a balance that massage can help to restore.
“Libra Therapeutics” exists to encourage people to take a break for a little “Me time,” in order to re-establish balance and aid the body in its natural healing process. At least for the duration of the massage my client has taken a break from rushing around and merely has to lie down, relax and enjoy.
